Ted McCleister - Funeral Director

Ted has been a licensed funeral director since 1972, graduating from the University of Western Ontario with a degree in English and Economics and from Humber College with a Funeral Service Diploma. Upon his father's sudden death in 1972, he became the managing director of McCleister Funeral Home and its president in 1979. He has attended many conferences and seminars on grief, notably the World Symposiums held annually at King's College, University of Western Ontario for 13 years. Ted brings this information to the families served and the staff. In Brantford and other communities across the province, Ted has participated in seminars, workshops and speaking engagements about bereavement topics which include: helping children cope, men's issues, pre-arranging and estate matters. Ted has also been a resource to the Grand Erie Board of Education and the Victorian Order of Nurses. Ted is married to Patti and they have 2 daughters.

Randy Tait - Funeral Director

Randy received his Funeral Director's licence in 1979 and has been a part of the McCleister Funeral Home since 1984. He is currently the managing director. Married in 1985, Randy and his wife Sue have 2 sons and 1 daughter. Interested in helping us provide a unique element to our service, Randy has achieved Level 3 in American Sign Language. He is also an instructor with the Christopher Leadership Course in public speaking.

Lloyd McBride - Funeral Director

Licensed since 1977, Lloyd has exceptional technical skills. We are proud to have his vast experience in this area and consider it a valuable asset to our firm. Lloyd's hobbies are his several antique cars, English and French, clock collecting and British Terriers.

Marysa Rumble-Lauriault - Funeral Director

Marysa became a licensed Funeral Director in 2007. She previously graduated from Fanshawe College with a diploma in Interior Design. She is a third-generation funeral director, being part of the family of the Rumble Funeral Home in Burford. As a lifelong resident of Burford, Marysa is very active in her community and church, Blessed Sacrament. She has been an active member of the Paris Lions Club since 2007 and has been involved with Girl Guides of Canada and the Big Sisters of Brant County. Marysa and her husband, Philippe were married in 2008 and share a love of dachshunds and renovating their 1800's home in Burford.

Bud Adams

Married to Lillian for over 30 years, Bud joined us in 2000. Born and raised in Brantford, Bud is known by many in his former employment at the Lynden Park Mall.

Alex Barrett

Well-experienced in customer service, Alex is the retired Meat Manager for Calbeck-Sobeys grocery stores. An active member for 60 years at St. James Anglican Church, Alex and his wife of 50 years, Marg, have raised 4 children and have 7 grandchildren. His interests are golf and hospitality around the family pool.

Paul Bartle

Paul is the retired second-generation owner of Bartle's Store, which is widely recognized as a popular meeting place because of its famous toy, gift and fruit baskets department. He is a graduate of Pauline Johnson Collegiate and Fanshawe College as a Civil Engineering Technician. In sports, Paul is a Life Member and an Ed Henick award winner (2005) of Canadian Junior Football League and was inducted in 2009 into the Brantford and Area Sports Hall of Recognition in the Builder category for football. Paul has been a member of the Brantford Bisons Alumni and Football Association for 36 years. Paul and his wife of 36 years, Diane, have raised daughter Beth and son John Paul.

Barbara Black

Barbara is our hairdresser bringing with her 30 years experience. She is presently a part-time instructor at Mohawk College in hairdressing and is able to do excellent work from photographs provided by families. She is the proud mom of three sons presently attending university.

Les Brown

Les has been an assistant at McCleister Funeral Home since 1993 and has taken funeral home training from the Order of the Golden Rule, an international association of funeral directors. He has served as a board member and group facilitator for the Bereaved Families of Ontario. Married for 31 years to Lynn, Les is the proud father of 2 children.

Bill Cheevers

Born and raised in Brantford, Bill worked for the City of Brantford for 35 years, notably as the Real Estate Manager for 25 years. He attended the Hamilton Institute of Technology for Business Administration and is a Real Estate Appraiser. Married to Wendy for 37 years, they have 2 daughters, Michelle and Christine and 2 grandchildren, Zoe and Jack.

Laurie Cowie

Born and raised in Brantford, Laurie has been with McCleister Funeral Home since 1996. Previously, he worked for municipal government for 20 years in the Engineering Department, graduating from M.T.C. drafting courses and Traffic Technical courses. Later, he was the owner of a television and video store. With his wife Dianna, Laurie is the proud father of 2 sons and 2 grandchildren.

Joanne Flynn

An active, long-time member of St. Pius Roman Catholic Church, Joanne has been married to Mike for 37 years. They have 2 children and 1 granddaughter. At the funeral home she acts in many capacities, including hostess for receptions in our main-floor hospitality suite, receptionist and as a funeral directors' assistant.

Albino Locche

An active long-time member of St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus, Albino is also very involved with the Italian community of Brantford and the Sardinia Club of Toronto. Albino has served with McCleister Funeral Home since 1996. Married to Maria, he enjoys his family of 2 sons, 1 daughter and 6 grandchildren.

Irene O'Connell

Irene is our office administrator in charge of accounting and has worked for McCleister Funeral Home for over 25 years. Married to Mike for 37 years, they have 3 daughters and 7 grandchildren. They are both involved with various activities and clubs in their community and church.

Rob Welsh

Appreciated as an active member of the Arnold Anderson Sport Access for Youth, Rob is very involved in its' activities and fund-raising. He is a retired employee of the Government of Ontario Corrections Service. Married to Joanne, they have 3 children and 4 grandchildren.
