Edgar Roy Van Sickle
Van Sickle, E. Roy At the Hamilton General Hospital, surrounded by his family, on Monday, October 3, 2011 at the age of 74. Roy is survived by his wife of 52 years, Barbara (nee Cox); by sons Jerry (Kristene), Alan (Lisa) and daughter Karen (boyfriend Vince). Grandpa will be missed by his loving grandchildren Kaylyn, Alyssa, Sophie, Christopher; Also survived by his cherished 96 year old mother, Iva. Predeceased by his father Harold (1971). Roy was blessed to have three sisters, Ruth (Herb) Hamilton, Audrey (William) Brown, Ann Bassett and five brothers-in-law Cyril (Evelyn), Raymond (Eileen), Ross, Morris (Helen), Leslie (Susan) Cox. Will be remembered by his many nieces and nephews. For almost a quarter of a century, Roy was a retired employee of Massey Ferguson Combine, where he worked for 24 years. Roy loved his excursions to Manitoulin Island and the Huntsville area; He enjoyed touring around town in his sparkling clean truck to meet his coffee buddies. Friends will be received at the McCLEISTER FUNERAL HOME, 495 Park Road North, Brantford on Friday, October 7, 2011 from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. Memorial Service in the Chapel on Friday at 3:00 p.m. Cremation has taken place.
